In the ongoing winter session of the Jharkhand Assembly, Finance Minister Rameshwar Oraon has introduced a supplementary budget of Rs 8,111 crore, marking the second supplementary budget for the current fiscal year.
The presentation comes amid discussions in the Assembly, where Leader of Opposition Amar Kumar Bawri raised concerns, stating that the government has yet to utilize a significant portion of the original budget, making such a substantial supplementary budget unnecessary and non-election-oriented. The proceedings of the House were adjourned until 11 am on Tuesday following the budget presentation.
